Oregano – Thanks for the comment! Yes it was a typo- I hope there weren’t many! So tough to maintain a decent blog with Lyme fog but I keep trying!

I do get discouraged by the obvious good ole boy game-playing that is so at odds with our country’s health, and specifically, hope for our own recovery! I will focus on your last line…as I try to write in most posts that it will be the competitive nature of medical research that will be the uncovering and ultimate whistle blower of all the medical misconduct and horrific avalanche of lies. Science and compassionate lawmakers will win the day eventually. Hopefully it will be soon enough for you and me!

Good post overall, but a couple of errors. XMRV is the third known RETROvirus to infect humans. You probably knew that…typo?

And the CDC did not get back on track after the misappropriation of funds was discovered and a small slap of the wrist issued to those who did it. One of their own turned ‘whistleblower’ to save his own skin and then took over, only to continue doing the same things the former good old boys had been doing: trying to prove that CFS doesn’t exist except as a mental illness. His latest ‘research’ claims that CFS is a stress response to childhood sexual abuse and bad mothering! BUT…he’s out, too, now. BUT…his ‘work’ still permeates the CDC and the new acting director seems to be just as bad.

On the other hand, labs all over the world are now looking into XMRV, so maybe this time, the science will prevail over the politics. The doubt casters are looking worse and worse, the closer their ‘research’ is looked into.
