I am so glad I read this post. It cleared my doubts about banking my child’s cord blood. I am in my 30th week of pregnancy and was still wondering whether to fill in the forms for cord blood banking or not. I think this gives me one more reason to go ahead and do it. Lyme’s disease is never taken as seriously as it should be. I think this was the most lucid first hand information I have read about lyme’s diseasee. I think this definitely proves without doubt the regenerative properties of embryonic stem cells.

The embryonic stem cell treatment has now completely demolished two lesions, and near but eradicated the last one. I study the images of my brain trying to locate the last part of the one remaining lesion. It’s improved beyond recognition, so much so that I’m having a hard time deciphering where its exact location is.

I have been reading some great stuff on stem cell research lately, and have attended a longevity conference in California last November. I as astonished at the medical advances being made by non-mainstream researchers. These are mainly from the convergence of biology and technology – with a bit of nanotechnology thrown in. While many people think that huge medical advances – including those around stem cells – are 20-30 years away, people at the conference I mention think that such advanced are more like 18 months away – these are the people in the companies actually doing the stuff. Knowledgeable people, not people ‘wishing and hoping’.

My blog will be covering more about stem cell research in the next few weeks and I will be featuring it more. It seems that hardly a month goes by without another great step forward in this area.
