Please don't be discouraged. I'm not at all surprised that your visit was a dud. My visit to a so called Infectious Disease specialist last year, had the same results. Well, actually she actually was more ready to believe I had some completely obscure disease (only 4 million documented cases worldwide) that required a bone marrow biopsy than believe I had lyme and various co-infections. If his boss tells him he can only look right and ignore everything left, of course he's going to tell you he doesn't believe it's babesia duncani (one of my co-infections too). They are an HMO they don't want to pay for it, and apparently if they ignore they don't have to. I had doubts too, but I trust my doctor and my results from IgenX. I wish my health insurance carrier would pay my doctors visits also, and I fight with them everyday. Keep fighting! You're not insane, you are just suffering from a terrible disease. Good luck.
