Do You Have Chronic Lyme or Aspartame Poisoning?

Do You Have Chronic Lyme or Aspartame Poisoning?

With the mass worship of thin and fit bodies (quite often impossible to attain) the craze for “fat free” and “diet” products have never been so desirable. Even toothpaste claims to be sugar free along with every other kind of food you can buy.

What is now quite horrifying is that these diet products often claim to be – and are accepted – as a “healthy” way to live – sweet without sugar.

Aspartame (Nutrasweet) is the chemical that has allowed every food and beverage manufacturer to make this claim, (and most people believe that if the FDA allows it, it can’t possibly be harmful, especially if it is plastered all over the package.)

Well, the bad news is out, and there is no surprise that the media is not covering the story, after all, the advertisers are paying their bills – you should never bite the hand that feeds you!

The truth is making itself heard nonetheless, and according to Dr. Eric Herman from “Liberty Chiropractic and Holistic Medicine”,  and www.sweetpoison.com, the following symptoms may occur from aspartame poisoning:

Eye
blindness in one or both eyes
decreased vision and/or other eye problems such as: blurring, bright flashes, squiggly lines, tunnel vision, decreased night vision
pain in one or both eyes
decreased tears
trouble with contact lenses
bulging eyes

Ear
tinnitus – ringing or buzzing sound
severe intolerance of noise
marked hearing impairment

Neurologic
epileptic seizures
headaches, migraines and some severe
dizziness, unsteadiness, both
confusion, memory loss, both
severe drowsiness and sleepiness
paralysis or numbness of the limbs
severe slurring of speech
severe hyperactivity and restless legs
atypical facial pain
severe tremors

Psychological/Psychiatric
severe depression
irritability
aggression
anxiety
personality changes
insomnia
phobias

Chest
palpitations, tachycardia
shortness of breath
recent high blood pressure

Gastrointestinal
nausea
diarrhea, sometimes with blood in stools
abdominal pain
pain when swallowing

Skin and Allergies
itching without a rash
lip and mouth reactions
hives
aggravated respiratory allergies such as asthma

Endocrine and Metabolic
loss of control of diabetes
menstrual changes
marked thinning or loss of hair
marked weight loss
gradual weight gain
aggravated low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
severe PMS

Other
frequency of voiding and burning during urination
excessive thirst, fluid retention, leg swelling, and bloating
increased susceptibility to infection

Additional Symptoms of Aspartame Toxicity include the most critical symptoms of all:
death
irreversible brain damage
birth defects, including mental retardation
peptic ulcers
aspartame addiction and increased craving for sweets
hyperactivity in children
severe depression
aggressive behavior
suicidal tendencies

Does any of this sound familiar? Additionally Aspartame may trigger, mimic, or cause the following illnesses:

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Epstein-Barr
Post-Polio Syndrome
Chronic and/or Neurological Lyme Disease
Grave’s Disease
Meniere’s Disease
Alzheimer’s Disease
ALS
Epilepsy
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
EMS
Hypothyroidism
Mercury sensitivity from Amalgam fillings
Fibromyalgia
Autism
CPN
Lupus
non-Hodgkins Lymphoma
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)

I’m reading the Aspartame poisoning symptoms and they are so similar to my diagnosed FM/CFS, etc. diagnosis. My son also has many of the symptoms. What I don’t know is how long after you’ve removed aspartame from your diet (after problems such as migraines and fatigue showed up) can it still have an effect. Surely it goes away with time? Do you know?

    Thanks you

Hi Steff – I am not a licensed medical practitioner, but I do know that our bodies have a wonderful toxin elimination system, and if you eat healthy going forward, your son should recover quickly.

    Blessings,
    Jenna

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 13 years ago. About 10 years ago was when I first found out that aspertame could exacerbate Fibro symtpoms so I cut it out of my diet. Well, my symptoms got better in some ways, but did not go away completely. I would say after I cut it out, it was a year or so before I noticed that things were ‘better’.

I found out about 2 months ago that I have Lyme. So, I think you can have both Chronic Lyme AND Aspertame Poisoning. I would not rule out Lyme as a cause for any of the symptoms. If you cut aspertame out and things get better, but don’t go away completely, then I would suspect it may be the combo of the two.

Just my thoughts about my own experinces…

Hi Steff – Thanks for the comment.

I wish I could give you a definitive answer to your question, but each body has its own unique chemistry so it would vary greatly on underlying health but on lifestyle and a host of other considerations.

The best thing you can do for your (or your family’s) health is to stop using aspartame and DETOX. There are hundreds of companies that make products to detox, and you can sweat out alot of poison in far infared saunas as well. Some are snake oil and some are really fabulous. You can email me privately for my recommendation (jennasmith1@gmail.com).

    Thanks again for your comment!

    Blessings,
    Jenna
