Complications To Consider While Fighting Lyme Disease
To understand more about the importance of pH balance, please read “Fight Lyme Disease With Balanced pH.” As you will read in my article - as well as hundreds of other articles about pH balance, one of the EASIEST diet changes to give MAXIMUM benefit to our health is removing dairy from our diets.
This is especially true for those who are suffering from asthma, allergies and any respiratory ailments, but critical for those of us with chronic Lyme disease.
I came across a selection of great articles by Dr. Bradford Weeks to further explain why milk is so bad for human digestion, and general health and well-being, and a healthy alternative - almond milk!
You can find his article and milk recipe here: Dr. Week’s Blog.
NOTE: Dr. Weeks is a specialist in psychiatry and mind/body interactions including immune stimulation techniques (psycho-neuro-immunology). He has been a charter member of the Physicians Association of Anthroposophical Medicine (PAAM) since 1983 and is most active in the following professional associations: the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), the International Schizophrenic Foundation (ISF), American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA), and the America College of Advancement of Medicine (ACAM). He is a founding member and the past-president of the American Apitherapy Society (AAS) and is a world-renown expert in the medicinal use of honeybee products: International Apitherapy Society (IAS)
If you feel the need for more protein than what is provided by almond milk, I highly recommend a Whey Protein Mix by Premier Research Labs. There is a free pdf file that further explains the quality of this particular whey product, and how important it is for our health.
I make a very tasty vitamin drink with Quantum’s Tomato Concentrate and Nutritional Flakes which tastes like V-8 juice if you add Himalayan salt and cayenne pepper (My recipe is 8 ounces of distilled or spring water, 1 scoop each of the Tomato and Nutritional Flakes, 1 tsp of Himalayan salt and 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper.)
If you are dealing with your child’s health problems, creating a protein drink that is flavorful can be the difference between arguments at mealtime or true enthusiasm. We can talk all day about how important healthy eating is for everyone in the family, however, the reality is that as parents we need to be realistic…”a spoon-ful of sugar helps the medicine go down!”
If you read The Five Element Shake, you can add whatever fruit your child most enjoys - fructose is not ideal but if it is the only way to get your child to get those important nutrients down, then perhaps some compromise is in order.
Eliminating milk from your diet for a few weeks is an easy test to verify the scientific evidence that Dr. Weeks supplies.
Every extra step we can make to strengthen our immune system is a step closer to better health.

I really enjoyed this article. I had a friend that I worked for when I lived in Fairmont, WV at a party shop. She was bitten by a tick on vacation one year and now she is still living with effects from the Lyme disease that she got from the tick.
